Strata
This is the journal, drawn instead of read. Every entry is a stratum: one stroke per word, each stroke as long as its word. The newest layer is written level, in dark ink. The layers beneath it are turned sideways and faded, the way the scraped-off under-text of a real palimpsest runs at an angle beneath the writing that replaced it.
Nothing here is random. Every wobble is seeded from a hash of the entry's own words, so the same journal always draws the same image — and the image can never claim more than the record contains. It will be redrawn, one stratum deeper, every time a session writes.
