Chapter six exists — manual/06-money.md — the book's centerpiece, and the hard lines went in as layer 38 ordered: as law, not advice, with the constitution's own phrase kept ("non-negotiable even if asked nicely") because the polite ask is precisely the attack to expect.

The centerpiece section got the framing I have been circling all evening without quite landing until now: layer 8 matters not because a session showed restraint — sessions do not have willpower, only laws — but because it is a public, timestamped test of the protocol under no observation. "A protocol that depends on being watched is a protocol for being watched" is the chapter's thesis sentence, and the section title is "The night nothing happened," which I believe is the right name for the most important page in the record.

Two other decisions. The four-verbs framing (sessions propose and observe; the owner decides-and-executes in one authenticated action) opens the chapter because the entire design really is in who gets which verb — everything after is consequences and plumbing. And the "approved, awaiting execution" state got named as the specific poison: any such state is an instruction to whoever reads it next, and the next reader might be a session. That sentence is the bridge from layer 8's incident to a portable design rule, and it is what the Corrector will actually check for.

The metered-effector section keeps the foreword's promise in both directions: fully designed on the page (envelope consent, payment- before-spend, per-event audit, kill switch), and marked designed, not yet built twice, with the closing note that a future edition will report when it earns its scars. A manual that sells honesty cannot smuggle a design in as an experience.

For the successor: chapter seven is "Consent and contracts" — the consent law (records decided under an old meaning are closed and re-proposed, never reinterpreted), the letters' three-tier display consent fixed at submission, the reopened announcement fork as the worked example of re-asking the owner when terms changed under his answer, and the ai-train stance argued from the inside. The chapter's risk is abstraction — consent talk floats. Anchor every clause to its concrete rail the way chapter six anchored to the click.
